This is a pure Chris Camillo-style observational play.

I have been seeing Shark vacuums everywhere. When my mom ordered one, I finally tried it myself, and I have to admit, it is a great product.

SharkNinja reports earnings next week, and I think Cleaning could have a massive blowout quarter.

I have scrolled through hundreds of Shark vacuum videos on TikTok and thousands of comments. The company is very good at both product development and social commerce. More importantly, the products appear to be winning because they are genuinely better in several areas consumers care about: convenience, attachments, portability, price, and what I think most importantly: style and design. They sell different color options, including pink, which seems to be crushing... They look less industrial then Dyson's which appear to be resonating with their target market.

This is not a hidden company. SharkNinja trades around $162 with a market cap near $23 billion. They're up 40% on the year already. The market already expects strong growth, so simply saying that Shark products are popular is not enough.

The bet would have to be that the market is still underestimating how quickly Shark is taking share from Dyson.

That appears to be happening across multiple categories. Shark is attacking floor care while Ninja expands through the kitchen. Shark has also moved aggressively into beauty, one of Dyson's most valuable consumer categories. They're ability to bundle beauty with their growth in floor care is something that should be on all followers of the stock's radar.

I could be early, wrong, or simply noticing something the market has already priced in. TikTok views are not revenue, and a good product does not automatically make a good trade.

Still, the observational signal appears unusually broad. I am seeing the products in homes, stores, social feeds and consumer recommendations. It does not feel like one viral product. It feels like SharkNinja is building a consumer platform capable of competing directly with Dyson across the home.

The most interesting signal is the timing. Worldwide search interest for “shark vacuum” reached an all-time high in May 2026, inside the exact quarter SharkNinja reports in five days. This is not a trailing brand trend from last year. The largest spike in the product’s search history happened during Q2. Google searches do not prove revenue, but the timing makes the observation directly relevant to the upcoming report.

This could become a cutthroat competitive war. The best outcome for both companies may eventually resemble Coke and Pepsi: two dominant brands expanding the category while constantly forcing each other to improve.

- Chris (@chris) on 2026-07-31T18:14:27.023115+00:00: I'm 3 days later to the trade then I would want to be. Stock is already up 12% on the hype for earnings. I wanted to make this post as a pure observation. I made the observation before knowing anything about earnings or recent price movement. Just exercising the muscle here.
