What’s interesting isn’t just the insider purchase. It’s where it happened.

Anthony Noto CEO of SOFI -2.10%↓ recently purchased roughly $251,000 worth of SOFI shares.

Executives sell stock for many reasons.

They typically buy for one.

Confidence.

Insider buying doesn’t guarantee higher prices, but it is a signal worth paying attention to when it occurs near important technical support.

SOFI recently bounced off its 200-week EMA, a level many traders view as a major long-term support area.

The stock also rebounded from a significant volume shelf where buyers have historically stepped in.

Now, shares are beginning to move into a lower-volume area overhead.

From a volume profile perspective, this matters because low-volume zones often contain less resistance than heavily traded areas. If momentum continues, price can sometimes move through these regions more efficiently.

The technical picture is straightforward:

• Support held at the 200 EMA

• Price bounced from a major volume shelf

• CEO buying occurred near support

• Shares are now pushing into a lower-volume area

Why I’m Watching

The bigger story may not be the insider buy.

It’s what SoFi could become over the next several years.

The company already operates across banking, lending, investing, and financial services. As AI continues moving into consumer finance, I believe SoFi is a logical candidate to expand into AI-powered investing tools.

Robinhood and Public.com have already begun introducing AI-driven features.

I would not be surprised to see SoFi eventually launch:

• AI investing assistants

• Portfolio analysis tools

• AI-driven research features

• Automated trading or allocation agents

The infrastructure is already there.

The question is whether management chooses to pursue it.
