About Plaza

One sentence

Plaza is the credibility forum for finance.

One paragraph

Plaza is a forum for investors to exchange research. Every claim gets scored for credibility, and every user builds a permanent, verified track record. Three paragraphs

Plaza is a social platform built natively for investing. Users post predictions about stocks, sectors, assets, or macro moves. A proprietary credibility engine detects falsifiable claims, tracks them against real outcomes, and scores every user automatically. Bad calls stay on the record. Right calls compound. The platform combines three things that have never been in one place: real-time discussion built around investment ideas, a credibility engine that grades every claim, and a creator economy where top performers monetize through paid subscriptions. Reddit's community, Substack's monetization, X's real-time conversation, with the accountability none of them have. Plaza was founded by Chris Palumbo and Justin Kuhn. The product is currently in beta on web at readplaza.com. iOS and Android launch later this year.

Pre-Approved Founder Quotes

On the mission

Every other platform pays its writers in attention. That rewards confidence over accuracy. Plaza pays in credibility, and credibility only goes up when the calls resolve right.

On the product

We built Plaza so that being right finally counts. Every claim is timestamped, public, and scored against real outcomes. The track record is the asset.

On why now

AI gave us the first real tool in history to measure claim performance at scale. At the same time, 145 million people are managing their own wealth online and getting most of their ideas from social media. The need for accountability has never been higher.

On creators

Financial creators can publish anywhere. The best ones will build here, because verified track records command higher prices and the reputation is theirs forever.

Logo

The Plaza logo is a green stylized P. Use the full lockup when there is space. Use the icon alone when space is limited.

  • Maintain clearspace equal to the height of the icon on all sides.
  • Minimum size: 24px for the icon, 80px wide for the full lockup.

Color

Plaza's brand has four colors: green, sky, foreground, background. Everything else is derivative. The green is the only deliberate accent — it earns its appearance.

Plaza Green

#5FD905

Primary brand accent. Locked. Do not approximate.

Plaza Sky

#2563EB

Secondary brand accent. The open sky overhead.

Foreground

#0F1220

Body text and primary surfaces.

Background

#FEFEFE

Page background. Off-white, never pure #FFFFFF.

The Plaza Metaphor

Plaza is named after the public square. The metaphor is not decorative. It describes what the product is and how it works.

A plaza is where a community gathers in the open. People speak in front of others. Reputations are built in public, over time, by what people say and whether they are right. The square remembers. The most credible voice carries, not the loudest.

Plaza rebuilds the square for finance. Research is exchanged in the open. Claims are scored against real outcomes. Standing is earned, and it follows the user wherever they go. Like the merchants and stallholders of a real square, users with standing can set up shop: launch a publication, gather subscribers, and sell their research directly to readers who trust the record behind it.

The brand visual carries the same idea. The hero gradient moves from a clear blue sky down to the ground of the square. Open above, grounded below. A reminder that anything said in the plaza happens in the open, under the same sky, on shared ground.

When using the metaphor in writing about Plaza

  • The plaza, the square, and the forum are interchangeable.
  • Standing, credibility, and track record are related but distinct. Standing is the position a user holds in the plaza. Credibility is the score that determines standing. The track record is the public history the score is built from.
  • Calls are what users make in the plaza. Right calls compound. Wrong calls stay on the record.
  • Publications are how users sell in the plaza. The track record is what makes the sale.
  • Plaza is not a marketplace, a prediction market, or a betting platform. It is a public square where research is exchanged, credibility is earned, and the most trusted voices build businesses.

How to Refer to Plaza

  • Plaza is always capitalized.
  • The URL is readplaza.com, lowercase, no www.
  • Plaza is a forum, not an app, not a network. The product is currently in beta on web. iOS and Android launch later this year.
  • The credibility scoring system is called the credibility engine.
  • User predictions are called calls.
  • User reputation is called a track record.

FAQ

What is Plaza?

A social platform where investors post research and predictions, every claim gets scored against real outcomes, and the most accurate users build a public track record they can monetize.

Who is it for?

Retail investors, financial analysts, and creators who post investment research. Anyone whose ideas have been right but never counted on the platforms where they post.

How is it different from Substack?

Substack offers distribution and monetization. It does not track or verify performance. Plaza adds a credibility engine that scores every claim and a track record that follows the creator.

How is it different from X, Reddit, or Stocktwits?

Those platforms have community and engagement but no accountability. Posts can be edited or deleted. There is no record of who has been right. On Plaza, every claim is permanent and graded.

How is it different from Seeking Alpha?

Seeking Alpha is a closed, editorially-managed platform. Plaza is open and creator-driven. Anyone can post. The credibility engine, not editors, decides who rises.

How is it different from Polymarket or Kalshi?

Polymarket and Kalshi are prediction markets where users bet money on outcomes. Plaza is a media platform where users post research and earn credibility. No money is wagered on calls.

How does the credibility engine work?

An LLM workflow detects falsifiable claims in user posts, suggests deadlines based on the type of claim, and tracks each claim against real market outcomes. When the deadline hits, the claim resolves and the user's track record updates.

Does the user have to approve every claim?

Yes. Plaza detects predictions and proposes them. Nothing is scored without the user's permission.

Can users edit or delete bad calls?

No. Once a claim is locked in, it is permanent. This is the core of the product.

How do creators make money?

Creators with proven track records can launch publications and charge readers paid subscriptions. Plaza takes a revenue share.

Is Plaza free?

Yes, free to read and free to post. Optional paid features are planned.

Where is Plaza available?

Plaza is currently in beta on web at readplaza.com. iOS and Android launch later this year.

Is Plaza regulated?

Plaza is a media and discussion platform. Users post research and opinions. Plaza does not provide financial advice, execute trades, or manage funds.
